About the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Training
CCPT aim and mission
The Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Training specialises in providing exceptional courses and personal tutor support so our students can successfully gain vital counselling skills and NCFE CACHE qualifications. Our courses have also been awarded Online Quality Checked status by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
Our students benefit from progressing through our online, interactive course content at a time and place that suits them. This enables our students to fit their studies conveniently around their existing work and family commitments.
This approach helps our students gain highly sought-after counselling skills so they, in turn, can help and support people when they need it, either as professional counsellors or in their existing careers. We are proud to train and support so many people on their journeys to becoming qualified counsellors; and we are equally delighted when our students use their new and valuable skills to complement their careers in other fields.

Exceptional course materials
Upon enrolling, students receive access to our online suite of videos, group discussions, interactive activities, written content, and questions and answers, along with access to their own e-portfolio where they conveniently save their work.
Our course materials have been developed by expert counsellors and are regularly updated to reflect new developments. They are clear, easy to follow and allow our students to work at their chosen level.
Our personal tutors
All our friendly, experienced tutors hold advanced counselling qualifications and are dedicated to giving students the support and encouragement they need. Tutors also personally mark our students’ assignments and provide positive and constructive feedback which helps them master each lesson.
Students can contact their personal tutor throughout the course by phone, Skype, email or online messaging, for helpful advice or to get any questions answered.

Qualifications
Upon successful completion of their chosen course, our students will be awarded either the:
As well as enabling our students to continue their training towards becoming a qualified counsellor, these qualifications can support our students’ progression within employment for many job roles, due to the transferrable nature of counselling skills. Both courses available have been awarded Online Quality Checked status by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
Associations
Both courses lead to respected NCFE CACHE qualifications that are recognised on the QCF framework and which are regulated by OFQUAL (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation):
- NCFE is a National Awarding Organisation that is passionate about developing nationally recognised qualifications.
- CACHE is a leading sector specialist that is dedicated to those who care for children and adults.
Our courses have been awarded Online Quality Checked status by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and our students are able to obtain NCPS student membership.
